SEO For Your Business

How do I find the right SEO keywords for marketing my website online?

It’s common in the SEO world to say, “Your business must be found through the right keywords.” But what are the right keywords to use? What are the wrong keywords? How do you know where to begin finding them? Many business owners think that if they can be found for their company name that those are the right keywords for them to use. They also think if they can be found online for their company name that they are marketing very well. To be honest, being found for your company name online is a good thing, but hopefully, your company is the only company with your name online. And usually, your business will always show up in internet searches for your company name whether you try to market it that way or not. Having said this, I recommend not investing all of your time only marketing your company name for online searches.

Is your company well known?

I like to say it this way. What percentage of the population you are trying to market to knows your company by its name? It’s one thing to have a company name like Ford or Nike. These are names that have already been branded into the minds of people in your city. It is a completely different thing if less than 1% of your city knows your business by name. In this case, potential customers will do searches online looking for products or services that your company provides. If your company website does not show up in search engine results for these specific types of searches, but your top competitors’ websites are showing up for these searches, you could be losing a lot of potential business opportunities.

What makes you the most money?

Let me ask you a question. What are your business’s top revenue-producing products or services? What products or services produce 80% of your business income? Or another way to say it is, what products or services pay your salaries, which ones pay your bills? These are the SEO keywords you want to target heavily for marketing your website in online searches.

Writing custom content for your website.

The internet reads left to right, then top to bottom in how it processes data from your website. So you will want to create keyword-rich content for your website that lists your company’s top revenue-producing products or services in order of priority from most important to least important. You will also want to write all your content as custom content, and not simply copy content for each of these products or services from another website on the internet. If you use copied content it can damage your credibility. Secondly, duplicated content many times only ranks well for the original creator of the content. Your website gets leftover ranking. Google tries hard to index and show website pages with distinct information. And if you are trying to outrank several companies in online searches, duplicated content many times will not be good enough to get the job done. Online marketing is very aggressive. And the more money your products or services provide the more competitive online marketing becomes. Make sure you are writing custom content and always write it in order of priority.

Not everybody thinks like you do.

How does your customer think? Many times I have spoken with a business owner and asked them if their customers think like they do. Most of the time they will say no, yet their entire website is filled with content that has been written based on how that business owner thinks. We actually had one client where I had to say, “we market your company and I don’t even know what you do!” Their content was written in such a highly technical manner that it was not consistent with how the general public thought or spoke. In their case, they made huge strides in showing up in search engine results and attracting potential customers when they changed their website content to read as their customers think. Taking this approach can dramatically change what keywords you focus on using. Also, in different parts of the country, many times they use completely different keywords to talk about things you do in your part of the country. In this case, you may want to consider writing using their words and not your own. All of these strategies need to be considered when trying to identify SEO keywords.

Use a keyword suggestion tool.

Another way to find the right keywords for your website SEO is to use a keyword suggestion tool. You can collect the right keywords and identify the average number of monthly searches that are being done using those keywords. A keyword tool also helps you discover how many of your competitors are marketing online with those same SEO keywords. If you have a competitor that is marketing for keywords you have not thought of, you might want to consider what words they are using. Many times this can help you show up in online searches you would not normally show up in.

These are some practical tips to help you find the right keywords to build into your website content. You can use these SEO keyword strategies to help with your Pay-Per-Click or social media marketing efforts as well. Remember, the goal is to rank well for all of your top products or services and not necessarily just for your company name.

3 Reasons Why Internet Marketing Is So Important?

1. It enables people who are actively searching the internet for your service or product, to find you. Not just when they are searching for your company by name but also when they are searching for goods or services that your company provides.

2. It helps your organization remain highly competitive in today’s online environment.

3. SEO/SEM Internet marketing attracts more prospects to your business than nearly any other form of marketing available.

The exact number of chapters will be for you to choose from. You may need one or more chapters on data presentation and analysis, especially in a doctoral dissertation. The chapters for 250 word essay on first page do not have to be the same length. It is very difficult to give guidance on how long each section should be, because it will be unique to each thesis or dissertation.

From digital marketing strategy ideas to web design, we’re here to help.
